Frontline Figures bring you their popular South Wales Borders, 24th Regiment of Foot.

This Regiment can trace its origins back to 1689, but it is for their valour in the Zulu Wars that they are best known for.
Under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel Pulleine at the British base camp of Isandhlwana, they came under attack by an estimated force of 22,000 Zulus. The 24th Foot fought until their ammunition ran out and were overwhelmed with the loss of 540 men. A force of some 4,000 Zulus then advanced towards Rorke's Drift where the remaining Company of the 24th Foot with the help of others would make their famous defensive action.
